Come for the whimsy. Stay for the hot takes.
Glue Gun Resistance is a creative protest project by Pam and Megan, making tiny art with big feelings. We create photos, collages, and miniature scenes that hold the truth, the grief, the rage, and the hope all at once, and then we turn that work into things you can relate to: prints, stickers, shirts, signs, and small wearable reminders that you’re not alone and you’re not imagining it.
This is joy as resistance, made with hot glue and cold resolve.
About the Resistance
We’re Pam and Megan, two Minnesota friends who are tired of carrying our feelings around like loose glitter in a tote bag, so we are turning them into art instead.
Pam taught Megan how to Joy Shop: finding tiny sparks of delight on purpose, even when the world is being… a lot. Pam also sprinkles whimsy on everything like it’s her job (because honestly, it is).
Megan is systems and process: the spreadsheets, the plans, the “okay, but how do we actually make 50 stickers by Friday” energy. Together, we share the belief that creativity is not just a hobby; it’s a coping skill and sometimes a megaphone.
Glue Gun Resistance was sparked by the current administration’s behavior and the grief and outrage we felt after Renee Nicole Good was killed in Minneapolis during heightened ICE activity, and the community response that followed. We didn’t know what to do with the rage, so we did what we know how to do: we made things. Miniatures, collage, photography, prints, stickers, shirts, signs, jewelry.
